Audi A4 2016 EA888 GEN3 B9 Inspection Summary (Possible timing & head gasket leak)
Exterior, Interior, Oil & Water Leak (engine room, under body), Major Damage(NO Structural), Test Drive gear shift, Control Arm (Busing etc.) all look good. Two concerns are 1) Head gasket leak (possible oil as well) 2)Timing (Exhaust) issue. Please see below for more information. If I were to make the decision, I may not purchase it but again the decision is up to you. For the photos, I will upload them in the Google drive with the link for you to download them.

Tools used are HS512Max oscilloscope, PS16 in cylinder pressure transducer and other necessary probes and accessories. The focus on engine integrity and transmission shift and test drive experiences. Also, any structural damage and anything abnormal.

Endoscope, too clean for duel fuel injection (PFI & GDI) for 2016 110K km mileage. Too clean to be true and possible oil leak as well.

In cylinder pressure transducer turns out to be worry too. In particular Exhaust timing seems off by 2~3 teeth and the extra pressure is measured during engine idling. Normally, running engine in cylinder pressure ranges from 45~80PSI, rarely 100PSI and surely not 110 or 130PSI.

Engine room looks quite good, no water or oil leak and all seem in good shape with the original VW genuine parts. Under body also in good shape, no structural damage or oil or water leak. Upper and lower control arms, sway bars, bushings all look normal wear. Nothing to worry about engine room, under body, exterior or interior.

Scanner data also shows nothing special with a few DTCs not critical though. One thing that bothers me was the deletion of DTC about 15km ago. Drive cycles may not yet completed for other potential DTCS. That is yet to be known at a later day with enough drive cycles.
