8th Gen Civic 1.8 & 2.0, ATF filter replacement

Replace the ATF filter together with ATF replacement. This is the filter from about 60K miles. It looks a lot worse than the photo. Just replace the ATF filter. It has a very affordable price.

Use genuine Honda ATF filter only.

Please note that 8th generation Honda Civic 2.0 has the ATF filter right below the front bumper. You could see from the front side of the bumper or from underneath when the car is on the lift. It is very easy to replace the ATF filter compared with Civic 1.8L.

In addition, up to year 2013 the 9th generation Civic also has the ATF filter in the same location. Honda CR-V, FIT and other models also have the same ATF filter used.

Remove the air filter box first and other hoses in the way.-
Down under the air filter box, there is the ATF hose with the ATF filter attached.-
Insert the ATF filter in the direction as shown in the photo.-
