Torque for 17mm engine oil drain plug is 39Nm. Purchase 5W-20 or 5W-30 oil or your favorite engine oil. Aluminum crush washer size is M14 with 2mm in thickness.
Do not over tighten the drain plug. It could cross thread the plug.
Honda manual requires you to replace the engine oil filter and air filter in every 20,000 km. Use your common sense, inspect the air filter and replace them appropriately. Also, try to use genuine Honda engine oil filter. This process is for engine oil only and does not replace engine oil filter or the air filter.
For 8th generation Civic 1.8L, required engine oil volume is 4L.
