First, disconnect the negative battery terminal followed by the positive terminal. Put the car on the lift, remove splash guard unscrewing bolts and plastic push clips. The starter motor is in front of the engine block. The video shows the very details of the entire process.
Disconnect the battery first before installing the starter motor.
