Yes, using genuine Honda brake fluid DOT3 or DOT4 is highly recommended. In fact, Honda manual specifically requires the use of genuine Honda brake fluid.

"If the specified brake fluid is not available, you should use only DOT 3 or DOT 4 fluid from a sealed container as a temporary replacement.
