Q. 계기판 경고등은 무슨의미인가요? 노란색 엔진경고등 뜨는데 차량 운행해도 되나요?

엔진체크등 은 CEL, Check Engine Light 라고 하는데 엔진체크 해 보라는 의미이다. 경고와는 다른 개념이다.

경고등, 체크등 과 안내문의 차이

경고등은 심각한 상태이니 즉시 차량을 안전하게 멈추고 견인하여 정검.정비를 하라는 의미이다. 빨간색으로 표시되거나 깜박깜박 하면 경고등이다.

체크등은 지금 뭔가 이상이 있으니 점검해서 필요한 정비를 하라는 일종의 체크후정비 라는 개념이다. 흔히 엔진경고등이라고 하는것이 바로 이 체크등(CEL, Check engine light) 이다. 보통 주황색이다.

안내문은 그냥 현 상태를 알려주는 메시지이다. 초록색 아이콘등으로 대부분 표시된다.

그리고 항상본인 차량 메뉴얼을 먼저 확인한다.
