Q. I see blinking 'D' gear, 'Check engine light', 'CHECK TRANSMISSION' warning lights. What should I do?
First photo is from 2009 Acura RL, second and third photos are from 8th generation Honda Civic 1.8
The neutral safety switch or the transmission range switch seems to be the problem. Test the neutral safety switch and replace if necessary. Neutral safety switch is also called inhibitor switch in Korea.
Symptoms include engine warning light (check engine light, CEL), CHECK TRANSMISSION, D drive blinking lights on the dashboard, and problems with speed limit and shifting.
