모든 내연기관 차량은 엔진 미션 및 다양한 전자제어장치 시스템이 있다. 전체점검을 해서 차량상태를 파악할수 있다. 출고후 3년이 넘은 차량은 최소 1년에 2번은 점검하는것이 권장된다. 여기에 이상이 있으면 세부적인 진단단계로 이동한다.
