MAF센서는 1초당 엔진으로 유입되는 공기량을 측정한다. 렉서스 GS350의경우 1초당 엔진으로 유입되는 공기량은 약 3.5~3.7g/s 정도 되는것이 정상이다. 측정된 MAF센서 값이 대체적으로 낮게 측정된다. 이런경우 엔진출력에 영향을 주고 각종 고장코드 발생에도 원인 제공을 하게된다.
