화살표 부분이 상당히 특이한 구간이다. 피스톤이 상사점으로 이동하는 순간 그리고 다시 하사점으로 하강하여 배기밸브 가 열리는 시점의 공기 체적의 변화를 압력으로 나타낸 것이다.
